May 10, 2007 -- The Charleston Mercury recently ran an article, “Opening Doors to Better Health,” that focused exclusively on HYSO and the company’s founder, Simon Sassoon. Below is an excerpt from the article:
“HYSO takes a standard proven hospital disinfectant and sprays it as a mist that covers a doorknob at scheduled intervals, essentially eliminating germ transmission. Markets include hospitals, restaurants, hotels, casinos, malls and any other place where people might transfer germs. It is well known that so-called ‘staph and strep’ infections in hospitals are a result of contagion by infected people. One of the principal ways these are spread is through intermediate skin contact; i.e. doorknobs.”
