Modern Medicine Votes HYSO “Best New Product”

January 1, 2008 -- Modern Medicine recently crowned HYSO’s Automatic Door Handle Disinfecting System one of the “Best New Products of 2007.” The list was compiled by Dr. Andrew Schuman, adjunct assistant professor of pediatrics at Dartmouth Medical School and regular contributor for Contemporary Pediatrics. Below is an excerpt from the article:

“The HYSO Hygienic Solutions…[device] has the potential to significantly reduce the transmission of disease in the medical environment. Medical personnel have been indoctrinated to be vigilant in hand washing, and alcohol-based hand sanitizers are all over doctor’s offices. These have significantly reduced the spread of contagion, but are only effective if staff members remember to use them. Enter the HYSO Automatic Doorknob Sanitizer Device. It’s easy to install, easy to maintain, and effortless to use. It installs 12 inches above a doorknob, and sprays an EPA-approved disinfectant solution on the doorknob at regular intervals. The disinfectant dries quickly, and studies show that the device effectively sanitizes doorknobs and keeps them germ free….Originally intended to be used to sanitize bathroom doorknobs in large institutions, the device makes perfect sense for medical environments such as medical offices and hospitals, or even day cares and schools.”
